What we do

Albino Empowerment Foundation aims to improve the quality of life for individuals with albinism and promote acceptance and understanding of this genetic condition.

Here are some of the things we do to achieve our goal:

Awareness:

One of the most significant barriers to achieving equality for individuals with albinism is the lack of awareness and understanding about the condition. Hence we raise awareness through social media, schools and outreach programs to help dispel myths and stereotypes about albinism and promote greater acceptance and inclusion.

Educational Support:

Children with albinism may face unique challenges in school, such as difficulty seeing the board or sensitivity to bright lights. We look to provide educational support, including resources for teachers, specialized equipment, and tutoring services.

Medical Assistance:

Individuals with albinism are more susceptible to certain medical conditions, such as skin cancer and vision problems. An Albino Foundation may provide access to medical care, including vision screenings, dermatology services, and referrals to specialists.

Social Support:

We provide social support for individuals with albinism and their families, including counseling services, support groups, and social events.

Advocacy

As a strong voice, we advocate for the rights of individuals with albinism through public speaking engagements, policy shaping, government inclusion, community outreach programs, and other lobbying efforts.

Empowerment

We recognize that employment gives an inner strength to lead a better life. We strengthen the unique abilities and talents of individuals with albinism and provide them with the resources, support and opportunities required to develop and excel in their chosen fields. Through Mentorship, Access to technology, Employment Opportunities and Entrepreneurship.

What we care for

Equality for individuals with albinism

By promoting awareness, addressing discrimination, promoting inclusion, and supporting healthcare access, we can work towards achieving equality for individuals with albinism and creating a more just and equitable society for all.

End to Discriminations

Discrimination against individuals with albinism can take many forms, including exclusion from educational and employment opportunities, social isolation, and even physical violence. We ensure to address discrimination in all its forms to promote equality for people with albinism. We work to address the root causes of discrimination and violence to promote acceptance and inclusion of individuals with albinism.

Inclusion for People living with Albinism

Ensuring that people living with albinism are fully integrated into society, without any barriers or limitations due to their genetic condition.  People with albinism should have the same opportunities to participate in society as any other person including special treatment for employment due to their limitations. We are therefore promoting inclusion in education, employment, and social activities to help individuals with albinism feel valued and supported in their communities.

Bringing dreams within reach

We do our bit by recognizing unique talents and abilities in people living with albinism, and provide support and the resources they need to pursue their dreams, hence, creating inclusive environments that value and celebrate diversity.
